- What is vitrified china?
“Vitrified” means “like glass.”
It is made non-porous during firing. Ingredients like silica
turn into glass at these high temperatures, giving the china
its translucent appearance.
- Are these plates for display or dining?
Both! Some of our customers hang their plates on the walls
of their offices. Some display them in bookshelves or on
tabletops.
Others use them as, well, plates, and eat off of them! Varsity
China plates are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe making
them perfect for everyday and special occasion dining.
